About me
Carl York is a Tax Specialist within the Policy and Research Department of the Kansas Department of Revenue. His current assignment entails providing customer education primarily covering Sales and Compensating use taxes. He provides tax education to public businesses, groups, and organizations along with providing legislative updates for tax practitioners, volunteers, and accounting groups after the legislative session is complete. Carl has been in his current role with the department since 2008. In addition to tax education,
- he helps with enrolled bill implementation and compliance,
- he is part of the review team for answering private letter rulings and opinion letters and
- assists with reviewing and updating department publications and forms.
He is a graduate of Benedictine College in Atchison where he received his MBA.
